Thanks, just looked him up last post was April last year, and inbox is full. I'll keep searching....
It's been a couple of years since I did my Duster and bought parts from him. He must have moved on to bigger and better things. You should put up a wanted thread on FABO also. There are a lot more members over there and the spring you need is probably the same as what's in a B-body column.

Thanks Joel, I did just that.
So this morning was going pretty well. Put some brake fluid in to check valve for leaks. Found one but not there. Check. Put the PD core back together for when the new one shows up. Check. Decided to do a little more cleaning to make room for the dash. Took old glass out to shed. Thought I'd pull the windshield and rear glass out of the giant year one box to make some more room. Well F**k!!!

Knew it as soon as I grabbed it. Looks like I'll be ordering a new windshield.....

Gonna need these...

But seriously, that sucks. Did you open and inspect the glass when you got it or did that happen in the shed?

Wow, that sucks. I'm beginning to think I have met my match in regards to the bad luck fairy following me around.

Thanks for the tip Joel.
Still hunting the elusive lower spring for the steering column. If anyone has one, could you take some quick measurements. Maybe I'll make one if I can't get one.
After I get the dash & column in I can schedule it to get the headliner & vinyl top on
Got a picture of it? If it’s the same on 70s, I might have it.

Threewood first shipment of glass I rejected because is wasn't packaged well enough and had scratches. This was the second one it is was bubble wrapped and foamed, so I assumed it was ok, my bad.

My friend has some of these for sale PM me if your interested 40$ shipped I believe.

So I got the new core for the PS pump. In wrapped it and noticed it had heli coils in both studs. Not real happy with that but thought well maybe it'd be ok. Then I went to install the studs. One wouldn't start and the other would go about 1 revolution. Hmmm so went to remove stud and insert tried to come out. I am so tired of dealing with **** like this. Inserts were 3/8 sae, studs are metric. We'll see what the parts store has to say.

Frustration? Screw that metric crap, I'm too old!

Thank God for small victories, I found my old pump and retrieved the correct studs.

Blasted & painted, ready for another try. Tonight I'll attempt to secure the heli coil inserts. Let it set a day or so then try and assemble again.

I may get some Holy water first though......

I'll say a prayer. :)

Do those studs go into the reservoir or are they dry?

They pull the pump into the reservoir. They have rubber seals between the tin & cast pump.
