Hey Guys,

I need help. I am trying to make sense of a half done wiring job. Some guys working on my 69 Roadrunner were trying to install a painless wiring system. The car has a 383 with an MSD ignition controller, coil and distributor. I am looking at the wiring diagrams and the guys didn't wire in a ballast resistor. I can't start the car and do a normal test to determine what voltage the engine is running at. Is a ballast resistor required with an MSD ignition system? I looked on the MSD webpage but it was no help. Any ideas?

No, you don't need it with the MSD setup.

X2, again...and again, you can download the installation instructions from MSD's site.
