69 superbee - finally being built!

Rotisserie free. Kinda looks like a car now

Been a long time since I poked my nose in this thread. Hope to see some colour soon. Keep at it.

It's been a long time since I posted. I've been working on other stuff but still picking away on the bee. I flush-mounted my windows and now I'm putting my bumper on a diet so that I can add a valance

Is anybody interested in seeing this car get finished? I know it's been a long time in the making but I'm now dedicated to finishing it within the next 6 months.

I need the rear bumper to match the front bumper. I was going to put a roll pan on the back of the car but I don't really like how it's going to look in the end so I'm going to turn the roll pan into a lower Valance and put this bumper on a diet. I'm cutting 5 inches out of the bumper. In the pictures you can see the original size and the new size

Finally been having the chance to check out your project. My hats off to you for the rust fun and custom stuff. Keep at it. On your weld question where one looks good and the other is piled up, try nipping the wire each time you get ready to weld along with removing the EDM. I hope your weld thru is better than what I have available in California. It does not stick even prepping the metal with cleaners and abrasive. I did my SFC's with some prior to welding so they would be other than bare metal. Happened to bump an area with a fingernail and it came right off. Took the weld thru off and now they are treated with Ospho. They will get POR15 when it's their time plus the other areas I've been working on. Inner stuff that can't be reached well will be getting coated with a spray wax. The applicator has a 4' wand on it so I'll be able to get it in many areas. I'm very lucky on my 65 as it has pretty much no rust issues to deal with, especially like yours and many others.

I've also started a YouTube channel recently. If you'd like to see this bumper being made you can check out the link below. I have a few videos of different Mopars I've worked on

Looking at the way the bumper fits there's not really a way to move it forward and up to put it tight to the body because it will throw off the body line in the side of the bumper so what I'm going to do is use my original roll pan that I made and I'm going to make a filler panel something like a 69 Charger where the bumper is embedded into it so it fits nice and has nice clean lines with no Gap

I had no intention to put the back bumper brackets or the back bumper on the car with the piece that I made. But for some reason it fits perfectly and snug and I didn't have to modify it at all to make it fit with the bumper and brackets

Leave the body line in the bumper but cut and add to the top. That move it closer in and closer to the top.

Trying to figure out my license plate Mount. If somebody reads this and has the same design car if they could post a picture of how far the gas filler next sticks out past the crossmember I would appreciate it. I know I can put it in further but I just don't know what will work at the pump.

This is not the final position but I just wanted to attach it temporarily to visualize it
