Patience & persistence my friend. Looking great!
Starting to fix crossmember rust
Top of quarter smoothed out
Day 74...omg this is a long project. Lots of metal work completed. I still need to patch the floor in a couple places and I have a lot of tidying up to do now on the welds. I finally decided on an exact paint color. it's a custom mix so nobody else will have my color.
Only Day 74 eh... Making progress, that's the key.. day by day...by day !!
it wouldn't let me upload this picture on the other post
it feels like by the time I finish this car I will be too old to drive it LOL
HA.. looks familiar !
Yeah it's pretty close, what color is that?
House of Kolors HOK 403
mine is based off of Hydro Blue that comes on the new Dodge Ram trucks but I changed the formula and lighten it up a bit because it was a little too dark. it's crazy how close those two colors are together. you obviously have good taste in color.
Shaved drip rail. Just have to fill in with a strip of metal to smooth it to the roof.
Torsion crossmember fixed
Put some colour in the trunk today.
The car is coming along and I will have pictures to show soon. I'm trying to get my trunk aligned right now. It all lines up great except that the front is sitting high in the middle but is flush on the corners. I'm not sure what has changed since I took the lid off, the only thing I can think of is the dutchman panel needs to come up in the middle. Any ideas?
Gotta be some hot gal over there in Lindsay that you can set up on the trunk to fix that!
You are lucky if you find a girl with all her teeth in that town
Here's mine, I had to bury the corners pretty good to get the center flush and the sides to line up nice with the quarters.
I did get it mostly done. I still have yet to fix it at the front where it meets the door because there is a big gap where the factory drip rail overlapped the area. once I get my doors fitted then I can finish that part.
