70 RR Bumpers

Hello,

I was hoping to get my front and rear 70 roadrunner bumpers restored. They are in good shape overall, there are no major dents or issues. However, when you look down on the bumpers from the top they are not exactly straight, they are a bit wavy in spots. Is this normal from the manufacturing process back in 70 or is there something else going on?

I want to make sure my original bumpers are worth restoring.

I can take more pictures if needed.

No, your bumpers are damaged. But, that can be corrected and re-chromed.

Your bumpers are fine for re-chrome

My rear had a welded trailer hitch that I cut off and you could see where they beat to damage out with a sledge hammer.

They accepted it with no promises . There was an extra $ 100 metal forming charge. I marked the bumper to see if I got the original back.

But as Purplebeeper said " They are reproduced"
