Chrome is just way too high priced thanks to our politicians these days. And to find a company that will do it right it’s bull **** you may get the triple chrome and then it peels off taking it out of the package what to do next?

The end of 2017, I ordered an AMD rear bumper and weighed it against my stock bumper. 21.5lbs to 22 lbs. So 8oz difference in weight isn't what I'd call a big difference.
That's not a real difference at all. But the ones we did, both front and rear for an E-body... were.

I like it a lot!! Man I think chrome is out these days .i have the 69 in doing it maybe black or b5 blue undecided at this time. Thanks for the pics bro!!
Yeah, chrome is out? Mind fu*k. A classic car is a classic car because it's a... classic. Mind boggling. Colored bumpers? What's the problem? Mind fu*k again? All I can say is that some cars have the same color all over it. No contrast, just an all one color dip. Go for originality. Best bang for the buck. But beware of your mind fu*k devil on your shoulder. He's always there to entice you. Why? Because you want to be liked by others as much as possible. But remember stay classic (or call it retro). Just my two cents.

Watch too much YouTube getting brain washed. lol I feel you bro!! I like vintage and can surely appreciate a fine numbers matching car to the tee.

Does anyone like the black look? Especially with bright colors yellow or lime green. Black wheels and black bumpers powdered. Chrome covers on wheels . Any pics out there?

Not for me, but I lean more towards the purist side of the yellow stripe.

No not at all I powder coat everything it’s tough and very durable no dirt in finish
I get that, I worked at a powder coating place hanging parts through a temp service, but even a small run of parts was out of my reach, I think a bumper was like $2500

We are going black on black with our pickup, now that I was told prepping the chrome was easy

I’ll ask my guy it depends on prep work overall for pricing if you can do your own.

My body man said prepping the chrome to be painted was no bother. You prep it the same way as the rest of the metal. Scuff it, paint it, clear it. You don't need to remove the chrome, just rough it up so the paint will adhere to it.
