I am starting a new project for myself this time. I just got the car a few days ago and I am trying to come up with a plan. It's a 70 roadrunner with California emissions. 383. Auto, bench, column shift. Drive line is missing but I have a date correct 383 and 727 I could put in the car. Just about everything is there. I am missing the drivers side quarter glass and the center. I need a hood too.
I am considering restoring it to factory correct standards and selling it. I am trying to budget but I am thinking this car would sell for a little over 30k restored. The problem is the matching numbers would only be date correct, and not actually matching. That problem and it being a plane Jane roadrunner with no 440 six pac, no air grabber, auto car it doesn't make it real desirable or profitable.
The other path is going with a complete restomod with magnum force front end, linked rear, tubbed, big wide wheels, big displacement stroker, tremec, etc. Painted to look like the hammer. I know I would have more money in it this way, but it would be done how I want it.
Here are a few pics
