Rebuilding a 400 to stroker, looking for aftermarket intake that is same height as stock because it a air grabber hood. Any info will help. Thanks. 1971 plymouth roadrunner bought new in 1971 and KEEPING.....

You have a little leeway with a b block because you can use a 440 air cleaner base plate. Use carb spacers to get the right height.

The Street Dominator is low...but I don't know if it's air grabber low. But as post 3 stated maybe it will work with a 440 base. Proven in many dyno tests the Street Dominator is the King of intakes that will fit under a hood.

Is a 69 383 Magnum intake manifold the same height as a 1971 400?

The Holley Street Dominator is 13/16" higher than a 69 383 Magnum intake. I call the 440 air grabber base 1" shorter, so it looks to me like you can make it work.

Old school DP4P was an over the counter part in 70/71 that’s the aluminum version of the cast iron intake. I run a Torker Edelbrock but the air filter is a Moparperfirmance K/N and a lot shorter than the factory Fram CA305. Good clearance with my factory air grabber set up. Key was the 383/400 base and using the shorter K/N filter when using tte Torker I installed
