Shaping up great! what color is that in and around the engine bay? looks good.

Pass door and fender are done....now about half done with the drivers fender. It would be a bit easier if this heat would break.

Air circulaters..

That heat and humidity over in the Ohio and Pa area to, they even had weather warnings out for it.. Hope it breaks soon! Ive been there, a couple fans blowing would help some...

Tell me about it can't beleve ya'll have the same heat as down here, lookin good. We had a major setback today i thought i was done with the entire passenger side and found an area i needed to straighten [skim] out after i had sanded it smooth there was a little pin hole so i ground it [to remove any loose areas] and my skim coat came off in sheets so i sanded it down and tried again same result ended up grinding the forward quarter down to bare metal again [must have gotten contaminated by something] reapplied filler gonna sand it down tomorrow.

must have gotten some humidity in-between the two layers of filler.

Well it stuck but i ran outa sand paper gotta go out tomorrow any way so i lazied out today. I'm thinking the rag i used to wipe down the panel prior to applying the filler may have been the culprate i had put some aceitone on it to wipe some paint off the panel and used it to wipe it down before the filler. Don't think any thing else was the cause due to the garage temp has been the same for months [damn hot] even with fans.

So far I'm pleased. I got the engine compartment done as well as the underside of the trunk deck.

I hope the heat and humidity came down for you, it did hear the last few days, it feels like fall, just a bit humid though. Kids here getting ready for school first sign of fall i think our summer quickly disappearing.. Good luck, getting closer now and that engine should look real good sitting in there :)

Thanks Ron
Yes, the humidity had dropped some...much easier to work in the garage. Still hard to find time.
I'm very happy with how its turning out so far...for the first attempt at painting. Hope the rest is the same.

that color is going to look great on the rest of the car when you paint it.

Thanks Ron

Stay positive with it, it will come out, I hadn't painted a car in almost 8 years and ill be honest i was nerves about it all the time leading up to it and doing it.. I didn't want anything to go sour and i make a couple mistakes none ill share lol, no use crying over it and since so fixed it. You'll be ok with it i think its going to look great, with me all this leading up to the paint itself is as fun to me as driving them, my wife and kids tell me im not happy unless i have a project car to do and im starting to believe them.. I do miss the anticipation, looking up parts, rainy days spent inside doing mine and hoping to maybe grab another to do. I cant call my car a resto, i just don't have the money and space to to a rotisserie job, but if i find the one i want and get it, im going to do it somehow. :) good luck and enjoy it..

What kind of paint are you using is it a base & clear I'm just researching for future painting. A buddy of mine talks up this stage one stuff or something said its base and clear in one .

after a lot of talking to people that do painting.....I ended up going with BC/CC. Prices seem to be all over the place from real cheap to super expensive. This will be my sons daily driver....so after a lot of reading...I went with Nason...seemed to cover decent..and was easy to spray.

Well it looks great in the pics this color and orange are on the top of my list for my 73 roadrunner.
