Have been looking at tailshaft bushing removal tool on Ebay. Have tried to contact sellers to find out what the I.D. and O.D. of this tool. Guess they can't be bothered to answer, one did just said it's for a Ford. Does any one know if this works for sure. Does any one know any tool number and manufacturer of a tool like the one pictured?

Fran,
Just pull the extension housing off and drive the old bushing out and the new one in. The gasket will not set you back $75.00.

Yup, if you're only going to do this every blue moon, pulling the tail shaft is no big deal. And if you back the car up on ramps, you won't even lose that much fluid....

Thanks but I don't wantaaaaa.
Probably will . Also want to remove manual shift valve body.

Well like mike&crank say the park rod will need unhooked anyway.. What's a matter that manual a little toooo hard on the street for an old body?!!!! I keep saying that but nobody listens. Next I see yet another thread on adjusting the k/d linkage, lol.

Just returning it to stock, but it's a pain to shift. If it were a manual that would different.
I've adjusted kd linkage before after burning clutches up of course.
