I've got a 1973 charger se numbers matching auto 400BB car that I'm going to have a swap done on. My plan is to buy a new charger cop car have the suspension brakes and driveline swapped in. I figure that while we have the 100k mile 5.7 out we may as well stroke it :headbang:. My questions are this. Would I be better off having a short block built or stroking out my 5.7 The motor will be a NAG1 motor and Im not sure if there are any differences between that and a tremec motor because I would love to have a 6 speed in it. The body and interior will be what I work on after the car is running and driving right. With work and school I dont have the time to complete the swap so I am in need of guidance as far as a shop that can do the swap. I have contacted afterhours mopar out of florida but they havent gotten back to me so they dont have the project. Let me know what you guys think.

It's cheaper in the long run to get the short block done, but if $$$ is in short supply, then you can buy the parts as funds allow. also, the nag1 will handle alot of abuse, but it will need to be built.

There is a little bushing in the end of the crank that needs to be removed if you use the stock crank instead of stroking. Other then that the blocks are the same regardless of manual or automatic trans applications.
