8.25 rearend Strong enough?

It has come to my attention that if im switching from my mild 360 magnum small block to a decently warmed up 440 big block my 8 1/4 reared may not be up to snuff.

All street driven on street tires, but what are everyone's thoughts?

8 1/4 can handle 400hp, depends on how you drive it.

Depending on budget I wouldn't get too worried about switching it. On street tires on the street its unlikely you'll get traction enough to kill it quickly. And if you blow it up you're not really out anything. Just keep your eyes out for an 8-3/4 that'll fit while you drive it.
