air is present in see thru fuel filter

Like I said in post #14, completely full of liquid gasoline with ice in the cooler. Of course, those are not "normal" operating conditions.
 
If the fuel filter was mounted straight up and down, I don't think you could have that air gap. Mounted at an angle , I think you would have air trapped in the corner. ........................MO
I just now realized why my assumption was wrong. The gas enters the filter on the outside of the element, goes through the element, and then exits from the inside of the element. Duh ........MO
