It has been about a year since I posted on here, my original post is on the Welcome Wagon discussion if you are interested in looking. It was around April of 2022. So currently I have a '70 Superbee rebody I have restored, and I am so close to finishing it. I'll post pictures of it when I get home from work this evening. I also have an all-matching numbers '70 Coronet R/T 440 4 speed with Dana 60 and Hemi suspension. The six-pack was added by my grandfather about 30 years ago. I sadly do not have any current pictures of that yet, but I will be restoring that very soon hopefully. A little background of myself and the build, I am currently 25 and have restored my brother's Coronet that he bought back in 2007. Last year I worked up enough money to have it fully restored and built a 440 for it that is bored .40 over with forged pistons and steel crank. It has a 727 Auto with upgraded internals and 8 3/4 rear end with 3.91 posi unit. I had a local Mopar guy to do the body work and welding along with painting. As far as wiring, I have replaced everything even the Rallye dash wiring is new. I have also finished most of the whole interior on my own along with the front bumper, headlights, and taillights. It currently has a 4-barrel, but I have a six-pack set up for it. I am looking for some finishing touches such as, windshield chrome (just the bottom pieces), rear window chrome, ramcharger air box (specific for 1970), and any extra parts that are for sale since it's very hard to find the correct parts for these cars. Please feel free to show me your projects as well. I live for this stuff.

If anyone has or knows about any of these parts, especially the ramcharger air box, please contact me either on here or through email at [email protected]. Thanks in advance.

The WTB (Want To Buy) section is best for finding the parts you need as well as checking through the classifieds. Sounds like a nice car and you are making good progress, keep it up.

Mods are going to delete that email, as you can't do that here! You need a WTB post for the parts you need, but I will tell you that you need to look no further than the classifieds for the box as Steve just listed one yesterday @3white74

This was in 2021 when I first towed it to the guy who was going to work on it. It needed so much done to it. The person who worked on it before put quarter skins on and butchered the job. He also butchered the trunk floor

The frame rail on the passenger side was patched with heavy iron which offset the balance. Had to scavenge a frame rail off of an old 66 satellite that sat on my uncle’s property.

Some of these photos are out of order, but when this guy did to preserve the bare metal was coat the entire car in chassis saver before priming it. This thing will not rust for a very long time now.

This thing needed just about every panel replaced. Just thankful I was able to save the fenders and doors. But the floor and crossmember was nearly rotted off.

Everything started to finally come together around January of 2022. New under coating, and this guy knew exactly how the factory did it. I was blown away.

I ended up buying a disk brake conversion kit for the front of the car along with a new master cylinder. Also got new e-brake cable with new brake lines, fuel lines, and transmission lines.

It was finally ready to paint in late March of 2022. I could honestly say that I was very excited to see how this would turn out. I also bought a brand new wood grain steering wheel for it. I love the look of them of the Rallye dashes

I love that purple on it. The first paint job had some problems so this guy went ahead and repainted it at no extra cost. He wanted it done to his perfection.

The engine block is from 1972 so that means it had low compression from the factory. This guy had a set of custom 906 heads with bigger ports and forged .40 over pistons that I bought off of him. I ended up boring out the engine thus making is around a whopping 448 cubic inches with 13 1/2:1 compression. I had to buy thicker gaskets to lower the compression a bit just so I can buy premium for it.

It was my first time doing any of this stuff so putting together the entire bumper assembly was new to me. I made many mistakes and learned so much about these 70 coronets fast. I learned how to fully rebuild the 70 steering columns on my own along with learning about the wiring. I love doing this stuff. I had to get new carpet, door panels, arm rests, and even new ashtrays for the back.

This is the last bit of pics I have for now. I am currently working on getting the wiring to work properly along with finding where to ground everything. My dad was kind enough to build a big garage just so I can store this car and my next Coronet ill be restoring soon. The last pic is me at the Mopar Nationals in Columbus about 10 years ago in front of my grandpa’s 70 Coronet R/T. Needless to say, I love these old mopars and my kids will love them too.
