As long as were on the subject, check those clothes dryers. Make sure they are venting properly, the vents are clear and NO build up of lint.
Dryer fires are real and can happen when the dryer is neglected.
We never go to sleep or. leave the house with dryer running

Same here every time we leave we shut the dryer off. Many times we pull out of the driveway and turn around cause my wife will say did I shut the dryer off or did it shut off on it's own... Glad to Have Christmas in our home for sure.

On another note while feeling good about our situation I then got a message from a friend letting me know that the Captain of my one pool team's son died on Christmas morning. He was in a horrific Tractor Trailer accident on I83 a few weeks ago. He was burned 80% of his body and just a week ago they had to remove his legs and were still contemplating removing his arms as they were broken and badly burnt. He was an active person still played football and the fact that he is no longer here is a blessing in the condition he was in. I am not saying that to be "mean" but compassionate. He is no longer suffering but I feel horrible for the family because every Christmas from this day on will be difficult.. The roller coaster of life, take the highs with the lows and ride it as long as you can before it's time for you to get off...

Amen, brother. My dad passed away on Christmas morning as well.
Mama and my little brother both passed within a couple weeks of now as well.
Needless to say, it's a rather bittersweet time of year for me. I try to keep most of that in
for the sake of others, especially when the wife's family is coming to visit (like right now!).
Oy, her daughter has four boys of various ages, all of 'em wilder than bobcats.
Pray for me.

Yeah, I use an electric blower for the job, but clearly what ever you use it gets allot of crap out of the dryer vent...
