From 40" deep footers to a poured pad in 2 weeks, that was not fun!! I've been burning the candle on both ends trying to get this pour in before they shut down weekend deliveries and just barely made it. From here it only gets better, laying the rest of the block on firm footing will be a breeze.. no rush, no mess.

Time to take a breather and get rested because I'm spent!

Some of that is for a staircase to get upstairs. I'll completely remove the kitchen door then frame an entry in the garage that way you don't technically have to go into the garage to enter the upstairs.

That looks similar to my garage with the apartment above.

So much for a break, woke up feeling great so right back at it.

Decided to dig out the bank to get these stones slid in place and got a footer drain in while I was at it.

The concrete guy stopped by and cut the floor so that's done now.

Then a little block work after hours of moving dirt.

Tell me about it!! I told him that I've rented concrete saws like his with a cart so you didn't have to be bent over.. that's the way he likes to do it?
