Another garage..

Around the corner and 16' down the wall done, moving along pretty good all things considered. Need to mortar the last 8' then set up for another 16' run.

Understand completely....if you are off on your measurements by just a schoshe, your fence will be all caddy wampus. Clear as day to me.

For those that don't know, a schoshe is a unit of measure. It is equal to half a smidge.
I was a young man working a summer job when I learned about the measurement called a CH and the ULTRA fine measurement called RCH.....

I did a fence for a hillbilly woman that advised me to properly brace the posts so the fence wouldn’t be all “caddy wampus “.
Huh ??!
Cattywumpus or catawumpus are both acceptable spellings, ya heathen. :)
Oh....and "footers" has been used around me for all my 60+ years, from DC to GA.
"Footings" sounds all frilly and British. :)

Still haven't mastered that whole "resizing a graphic" thing, I see...

Trucking along way ahead of schedule surprisingly. I figured with the limited time I have and how long it took 20 years ago I'd be months doing it but age must have improved me in some way, it looks better than the old wall and is going up way faster?? One short run to connect the back and I'm on to the framing.. the fun part!

Moving along slowly but surely with zero help. Walls framed, sheeted and wrapped to protect the $32 a sheet plywood. Trusses all built except plating the one side then on to building the hip trusses... rafters.. however I decide to do it (never built a hip roof). Roof is scheduled to be put on in 2 weeks (the whole house and the garage).

Yes some of the lumber is stained, I call this the Biden build.. used lumber because everything cost so damn much! Fortunately my brother had saved a ton of 2×10's and 3/4" plywood so I ripped them to get my 2×6's and 2×4's, used some for the bottom cord for the trusses and still spent over $2,000 on what lumber he didn't have.

Here's the latest rendering.
