Another Thermoquad Dilema

Hello,
I have been searching for countless days/hours now and can not find a list or info on Carter Thermoquad pertaining to which top/body/base part numbers go together?
Does anyone know what can/can't go together?
I want to ensure my 3 components are correct before I rebuild my 3 carbs, 6545,9014,9015 as I do not want to waist my time and kits.
I see these carbs also use kit 902-299a, will 902-299b work? What is the difference between a&b?

I figured out my problem by reading between the lines so to speak over a few of demonsizzlers posts.
