Has anyone tried the M&H drag radials
325 50 r 15 on the back of a superbee?
I just bought a set of 315 60r 15 . They are for sure to big with out chassis mods .
Trying to get the biggest tire I can on this superbee. Mostly for the look. I can live with Minor rubbing on hard turns. I am thinking if I go down to the 325 50 I might make it happen.????

I got 295/50's on my 69 with no problems but with 4 people in car air shocks are required so I'm sure bigger tires will be a bigger problem. Jack it up and run them, I bet they look tough!

Fwiw 30x10x15 slicks on 10" rims fit in my 69. Not much more tho. I think the rims are 6" backspace

I have a 15x10 rim to try with 5.5 back space .
Do you know what the section width of those slicks ?

Mine might be 5.5 bs as well. Car is at the shop but they were older slicks with pretty wide/bulgy sidewalls, definitely not space efficient.

I couldn't believe it initially, but there's a guy in my area, has a 68/69 road runner with 315/60R15 on the rear... with the correct backspacing of the wheel, it is possible ! He didn't know what his was, it was just a steel wheel.

It must've tire manufacturer difference.
Cause that 315 60 R 15 in my first pic would be rubbing for sure with our air shocks or moving the springs in with off set hangers and welding perches I think.

I’m not sure what the dimensions on 315 or 325 are but I have 29x12.50 x15 on 4.5” bs wheels. No rubbing unless I air down. When aired down they slightly rub the spring clamps. If I was buying tires again it would be 28x10.50.

So on that Road Runner you have air shocks ,
Do you have them connected together or separated side to side ? Do you run the car a the track ever?

Micky Makes a 295 55R 15 and summit says
28 tall
11.9 section width and 10.59 tread .
seams more doable than the 325 50 with 12.3 section and 10.3 tread .

Air shocks but barely any air in them. They are connected together. It’s never been raced. The track closed years ago. It’s in the process of reopening now. The car was built to run 7.50-7.80 1/8 mile.

10" section, 12" total. 5.5" bs 3300# ss springs, it doesn't sit super high

I've got 315/60x15 et street pro's on my opel. Ther is NO WAY they would fit on my 69 roadrunner without at the very least moving the springs, and probably a mini-tub too.
The 325/50s are even wider than the 315s, but shorter, and the 69 coronet/bee has a more open wheelwell than a runner. I can see either fitting...... IF the *** is lifted high enough and the tires sticking out 70s gasser style isn't a problem.
