This ^^^ - active and participating sellers will see the highest bids. Also, be prepared to take more videos and pics to answer questions and keep your auction up to date. Bidders that are "watching" your auction receive text messages and emails when you post new pics and videos. If you decide to list it on BAT, make sure you pay attention to the comments. Potential bidders often ask questions in the comments and if you don't answer them, the bids will reflect your lack of participation in the process. A cold start video and a running/driving video also go a long way over there.
Appraisals are worthless IMO and has little to no impact on what someone will pay for the car. The only type of appraisal that is worth anything is a validation of a rare numbers matching car.Have to take a lot more pictures of the interior and underneath in the next few days. Thought about having a appraiser come and due a detailed printed out appraisal, but he wants like $300. Not feeling it.
Agree, Appraisals are for insurance. Selling is what the market brings and how much you accept.Appraisals are worthless IMO and has little to no impact on what someone will pay for the car. The only type of appraisal that is worth anything is a validation of a rare numbers matching car.
Professional photos really help with marketing. My fifth GTX, showing the difference between a professional photo and one that I took. As a buyer, I never cared much about pictures. I placed far greater importance on documented history, limiting my search to heavily documented, numbers matching cars. People buying the cars I sold seemed to fall in a similar subset. However, this is just a small segment of the market, and the mainstream likes lots of good looking photos. When I listed my Cuda on BAT, it was $99 for the listing and professional photographer. He knew of a great spot, took all the required photos and then some, and uploaded them all to BAT. Well worth it IMO.
