I want to swapout the rear end from my 63 to a later year to get rig of the old style rear.I believe its 65 and newer that will work, correct? And what year is best for the fit, a 65? Seems I have sold all my 8 3/4 rear ends in the past few and now I need one.

I would go with a 1965 b-body 8 3/4 housing and axles. They should be as close to your original length and have the standard axles.

I've got a '69 in mine and IIRC it only was about 1/2" wider per side and the perches bolt right up. There's lots of '68-'70 8 3/4's out there...

Edited because I'm a dumas.

I have a 67 Belvedere rearend to go in my 63 330 and it measures 1" wider than the 63 rearend. Measured it over this past weekend.

This is a 65 B-body rear I put in my 63 Sport Fury. Fits great. Ron
