There's a group cyclists around here who go bar hopping on bicycles.
They do not obey laws and do stupid **** like ride 3 wide in a single lane.
I'm always hearing on the radio about some bicyclist getting run over.
Not always their fault, but it's a dangerous hobby

We had guy here get killed riding, it brought alot of attention to the subject... He was a lawyer and his widow had resources to make case. As kids we were told not to ride in the road now there are sometimes 20 of them riding on roads that have drop off culvert of six feet. It's ridiculous.

**** here in BFE there's 50 to 100 of the bastards. Usually at least half of them are inebriated weaving side to side as they pedal 2 or 3 wide on whining about the line of semi trucks behind them that they've brought to a standstill because theyre to ******* inconsiderate to let the traffic pass.

Or your town could do what mine did.
Build a badass bike trail that cost tens of millions that was funded by un- willing property owners.
That none of the bicycles use because there's no taverns asling the way.

I'm not against bicycling, just against the douchebags who pedal.

Came in thinking there was a joke here somewhere......bike riders like this sure ain't no joke. They are supposed to follow the same rules/laws as motor vehicles but most do not. I've even ran nearly head on into them because they are riding on the wrong side of the road thinking that's what they are supposed to do as if they were walking.

We did bike trail they claim it isn't challenging enough and its to conjested with families cyclists. Me wife and daughter when she was small potater used to ride the trail to get snowcone , all day long on your left passing on your left rude the ones i ran into. One guy tried to catch up to me because he was riding in the middle of the road, so i passed the bastard and got close to him his fault intelligence dictates yield to 2 ton vehicles. He was muscled up fool. Smith and Wesson we were with me.

Wonder why you would think i posted a joke, i can be serious sometimes. But your right like beekool said its a dangerous hobby.

True story:

My buddy was watching his young daughter play with the swing sets, monkey bars and slides with other kids at a neighborhood park. My buddy was sitting on the park bench when a middle-aged mommy watching her kids sat next to him.

A rough looking mid-aged guy rode his bicycle through the park at a distance and the mommy spoke to my buddy, "It's good to see some people use a bicycle instead of a car to travel around town."

My buddy said with a chuckle, "The only reason guys ride a bicycle is because they don't have a drivers license."

The mommy said, "You don't know that as fact."

My buddy said, "Okay, watch where that guy goes," as they both watch the guy ride his bicycle to the front door of the liquor store across the street.

Well, what forum did you post it in? Knew it wasn't a joke once I started reading it.....

I ride. Not getting the 200+ a week like I used to, but still get out quite a bit. We must follow the same rules that cars have to follow. We may not impede traffic in any way, on the road must be off to the right side and ride single file... But there's always jackasses. Most places there is enough room for traffic to safely pass. If it's a road that's that busy and too narrow, I won't ride it and you're taking a big chance if you do... 95% of the bike riders that get hit by cars out here usually end up being 40 year old tweakers on kids' BMX bikes that have no clue about riding near traffic, lights, helmets etc..

Forget that pedal pushing nonsense... Bag weed, case beer, fifth jack and hot chicks in my mopars. You aren't buying any of that...right...lol
