Bill "Maverick" Golden

Damn, really??? I really admired his driving that 'Lil Red Wagon" A100 pickup. That was a beast! I've got an autographed LRW model kit from him that I've had a number of years.

Where did you find the info???

Unfortunately, all the icons from the glory days of drag racing are slowly dying off. RIP Mr. Golden.

Very sad news! he was one of the greats and fine man! I'm proud to have been able to know him! R.I.P. Bill you will be missed! But not forgotten.

Don't remember what year it was but I shook his hand after he got married at the Mopar Nats. Great Guy with a great career. RIP Bill

RIP Bill,
you will be missed...

I loved seeing the little red wagon run, part of my youth

Man, Another one gone. I remember watching him in the 80's when he came out of retirement.

Got Rest his sole

Had dinner with the man and helped him with the LRW @ Englishtown back in the 80's - an experience I will remember forever.
