I have decided to paint my 70 Superbee the color Panther Pink. This along with white interior & cop car rims painted the body color. I have already purchased "white" reverse C stripes for it. I was wanting opinions on what would be a better vinyl top color for this combination? My 1st thoughts were to go with white but now having second thoughts.

I think either would look good....but the white top may be "too much" white on a pink car...the black top would let the white interior and C-stripe stand out more...my opinion or course

If you want the white interior and stripes then I would stick with the all white combo, personally.

:thinker:white interior white top black interior black top if you change the combo up to many colors and looks to busy just my 2 cents

Im more confused now than ever. Im just afraid with a white top that it may be a little too much white. Iv looked for pics but can find mostly Challengers & Cudas.

I would vote for white top, white stripe, and white top. But if you go black, I think all 3 items need to be the same.

Hey Reggie, I think they are both very pretty. But the white top and interior are going to be very hard to keep clean. I have personally done many white tops and upholstered many white interiors and believe me when I tell you how hard it is to keep that white clean. I would only use the white stripe kit on a car that is not going to get a vinyl top on it.

Cars can only be original one time, but they can be restored, modified or become a hot rod many many times. I say if it is not going to be original and match the build sheet, then build it the way you want it. After all it is your car and you will be the one operating it so do it to fill your needs and satisfy yourself. I had one pink car one time in my life. I though it was cool but before I made it home in that thing I got called a sissy about five times, the next day I carried it to a different auto auction and set that baby free. No more pink ones for me.

I like panther pink , but I would need a lot of black to break it up

lowhound this could be your start to collecting one of each combo

what about painting the top?? can easily change to the other color if you dont like it. just a thought!

oh btw, i like the triple white

How hot do you want it with the sun beating down? I'd go with white. I think it looks a little more upscale than black.

I had a white convertible top on a car once and keeping it clean was a serious job. But I love white convertible tops especially on the high impact or darker colors where there is a nice contrast like orange, red, black, etc.

Well my response is kind of pointless. I guess I was going off trimmers comment and I agree it's hard to keep a white top clean unless it's always protected or in a garage, but man I love white interiors :)
