To much fuel pressure above 8psi tends to flow by needle and seat and flood carb/motor. With any aftermarket electric fuel pump you need to run a regulator and have a gauge to moniter.
7.5psi is the norm. 6.5 is good for the street but you will starve it out at the track on the big end. It isn't hard to adjust(yeck I even did it) so when you get to the track just bump it up. Before you leave lower it and your good to go.
