68 Charger, stock fuel tank.
The shape is the back if the tank (rear of car) is shallow, then becomes deeper towards the front of the car.
Yet, when you install a factory fuel sending unit, it goes straight in (towards the back) and the fuel pickup is in the back? Why would it not go into the deep end?
I’m sure im missing something….

Chargers are hot rods and the fuel is always forced to the rear of the tank on acceleration?

I can't imagine the sender would pick up in the rear but I don't own a Charger or a FSM.

Fuel sloshes to the rear when under acceleration. The tanks were tapered up at the back for ground clearance at the rear overhang, near the wheels they didn't need as much ground clearance.

So, when you start to run out of fuel near empty and the car coughs, press the accelerator?
