Need help with choosing the right intake and carburetor. I've got stock 440 magnum with headers in my 1973 charger. I want to change carb and intake manifold because of the bad condition of stock carter carb(few things are broken etc). I'm thinking about Edelbrock 7193 - Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake and 750 cfm Edelbrock carb. But I've found lot reviews about this carb that it's suitable only for stock 440. So what carb should I choose for my engine? Edelbrock, Holley? :icon_neutral:

It would be great, unless you are going to do something like a cam, heads or stroke it or all of the above.

Use Holley's carb selector, that is what I used.

I like the Eddy carbs for street driving. They also work well for performance use if you get the tuning kit and dial it in.

Bood-zderov!

I really like Eddy too( Is it like religion? :angel11:) But what do you think about holley 3310 750 vs? Or may be holley 670 street avenger? Is it suitable for my engine?

holley carb selector will tell you exactly what your looking for then go the similiar carb in whichever brand you prefer.

stock 440, i would go vac secondary, non choke depending where you are and somewhere around a 750cfm with a edelbrock performer rpm or torker 2 intake.

I am running an Eddy 750 on my 451,street dominator intake, and it runs great! Plug color is good, and no bogs or flat spots. Also used the same carb on my 440 with RPM Performer, and it also ran real good, no issues. These AFB carbs were the original type design that Chrysler used on their production engines. And they worked well for many years, in a wide variety of operating conditions. I have also used the AVS, and I think it made a little more power on a 413 I had. Good luck!

Thanks for advice. I've bought Holley 770 street avenger and eddy performer rpm intake. So now need to wait about 4 weeks the goods to arrive to Russia...

wowser; 4 weeks for delivery. i would be chomping at the bit.

good luck:headbang:

Good choice! I feel the Performer RPM is probably the best all around intake for a 440 driven on the street. Prob do real well on the drag strip too! Has good low end torque, and top end power. C Ya!
