This remanufactured 4 barrel is on my 383, anyone know what this port is? I'm thinking maybe something to do with the EGR, but it definitely looks like it should be connected to something...Anyone have any info on the carb itself? which screws do what as far as mixture idle, etc.....

That goes to the fuel vapor recovery systems charcoal canister. If its a 71 it goes to the 3 nipple breather cap.
Idle mixture screws are on the front bottom on each side of that center black hose.

thanks, this is on a 68 super bee, so it's the wrong carb for a 68 motor (works but not correct for the year?) does it matter that nothing is connected to it?

Won't hurt to leave it as is or cap it,either way it won't make any difference, that carb has a bowl vent (the arm just in front of the tube) only open at idle.

Also, looks to me like idle mixture screws are plugged off. Has to be '70-71 or later. You may be able to drill out the plugs and still get to the mixture screws. That's what I used to do back in the day. Not totally legal with EPA,but then, who's checking?

Look under the hose. You can just see part of a mixture screw.

The 2 screws are there, you just can't see them from that angle. I tried uploading more pics but it won't go through
