Hi guys!

So im planning ahead for the coming season and i have an issue with the car, so when the engine is all warmed up and i put it in to gear i have to get it some gas right away or it will stall, like when im going to park it in the garage i have to have my foot in the brake at the same time as i give it gas, it wont keep running on idle while in drive or reverse.

I had a converter going bad. Same as you mentioned.
Sent it back to the company and was told that the stator was bad..
Stalled when dropped in gear and had to ride the brake to keep it running.

So to low stall for the camaxel aint the reason then? it says i should work with the original converter but best with a converter from 1800+stall

How much initial timing? Cam specs? Carb type? Compression ratio? Current idle speed in neutral and in gear?
Doug

The idle speed is way too low.

800-900 in neutral with a cam like that.

The factory “high stall” converter used behind the HP 383’s and 340’s would be fine.

A more performance oriented distributor advance curve(compared to what would have come with the OE distributor) would also help.

Okey have to test that first before i do anything els. Dont know what converter i have so i have to look into that. Or just change it. The thing is that when i drive it really haul *** but it dosent want to make a burnout with LS in now and i know for sure it got the power for it now =P

Idle is way low. Even with a small cam like that you need 800-900 RPM. If you want to spend some money, get a good quality 10" converter and really get impressed.

Gonna check the idle What is a good quality converter?

My latest is a Frank Luppo Dynamic. Last other one was a Turbo Action 10" that was 2005 ish part. ATI another choice, maybe Coan. Luppo will do what you want, not cheap, but you get what you pay for with converters.

I was wondering where JONKOPING is.
Do what the others said and adjust the Idle.It may cure all your problems, along with some fine tuning.

I'm sure you can buy from US by phone or internet. Shipping does get expensive.
If you are asking about B&M, I have not heard a good word about them lately. They made a real good product many, many years ago. Don't think that's true today.

Did I read in post #7 that you have a Chevy LS series engine in the car? Please let that be a typo....
If so, WTF is happening nowadays?
Beautiful car though.
