I have a 67 charger with all of the original air conditioning parts. I am wondering how hard would it be to get this air to work over buying the new style setups. How good do the original units work?

The RV2 compressor based system is the originator of the term "ice cold air".

My 69 Coronet R/T had it's original air intact but not working when I bought it in 93. I took it to a local shop a couple weeks ago that is owned by a Mopar guy and he switched it over to 134, replaced the oil with ester oil, new filter/drier and expansion valve. Works excellent now! You can't beat the RV2 as YY1 said. They work excellent and look correct. On a hot 94 degree day I turned it down to low fan after 10 minutes after it nearly froze me out. NAPA is a great source for parts too.
