Chargers for sale by crack addicts

Didn't most of the NOS stock factory sheet metal get used up?
Looking at some of the shots online of the production, it looked more like they used tin from furnace ducting and wall plaster rather than NOS sheet metal. The jump cars didn't need to look good close up, or at slow speed.

The Dukes of Hazzard TV show used 1969 & 1968 Chargers to make the General Lees. Between both years there were a total of 185,300 1968-69 Chargers made. The Dukes destroyed approx 300+ Chargers in the TV series. 300 Chargers into 185,300 produced equates to 0.17% of the pie.

0.17% is not the Dukes of Hazzard to blame.
I was referring to the popularity of the body style created by the show.

We men are mostly just oversized boys. I was behind a mustang last night, it had black metallic paint with a gold or copper metallic stripe down the middle. It was dark so it was hard to see. It was a newer one, and I'm no fan of mustangs, believe me.
But I thought it looked really cool. Then I realized it reminded me of a hot wheels I had as a kid. I told my wife, that's how simple minded men are.

I mean, how many guys get a 69 and go, "hey should I make it a General Lee?"

"Should I make it a Bullet tribute?"

"Should I make it a Fast and", oh nevermind.

The Hertz model rent-a-wreck?

This guy is serious. $150k for a 1969 Charger R/T with a early 392 Chrysler hemi with a Latham supercharger swapped in.
It’s an original 440 car. It’s not even pro street or a restomod. It is just a stock 69 Charger with donk wheels and a gen 1 hemi.

Notice someone asking if it is still available. It has to be a friend of the seller.

I don't think they wrecked any R/T's.

With 185,000 68/69 Chargers made you wouldn’t think the non-R/T Chargers would exactly be considered a rare car. An R/T obviously is considered rare enough.

This guy wants 30k for this 70 R/T basket case with no engine or trans. It comes at extra cost.

Chevy made an average of 350,000 Monte Carlos every year in the ‘73-‘77 years. They were everywhere. You hardly see them now. Granted, Chargers weren’t junked at the same rate I’d guess.

Another 30 for the power train? the pic of the trunk from the rear seat is nice, the red pants and the sweat gray t shirt is a great presentation card.:screwy:
The problem is that someone will pay that for this car......eventually. I may be stuck back in time but I see a $5000 car that's gonna take 50k to make it presentable. Then it will be worth 60-65K
