Planned obsolescence! Why buy one ? When you can buy another. And another... and another... and another
Exactly. I got tools 50 years old. Why ? Quality, name-brand, industry-recognized. oh... made in USA.Planned obsolescence!
They keep the good stuff, and sell us the junk.Do you think chinese mechanics use crappy chinese tools like the ones we buy here in this country ,or do they keep the good stuff for themselves?....just wondering
The Chinese build everything to a price. They keep the good stuff, and sell us the junk.
I don't think the Chinese are the least bit stupid. They have had an organized society far longer than the rest of the world. They manufacture junk tools to sell to us. And we buy them! Remember, everything manufactured is built to design specifications. Sorta like "garbage in-garbage out".

Bought a chinesium pitman arm remover at autogone. It cracked on first use way before it got tight enough to move the arm. Took it back and clerk said get another one off the rack. One left on rack. Pulled it down and noticed plastic cover was taped on. Looked closer and saw the tool inside was cracked in exact same spot as the one I was returning. Got a full refund and found one at napa that worked.
