Guys, I know, yet another "which high-torque mini starter should I buy?" thread...I researched this AC Delco starter, 337-1096 on Amazon. Searching for a particular legit P/N on Amazon ends up with a ton of results but they're all el-cheapo Chinese knockoffs, "compatible this" and "compatible that". I wanted to stick with an actual brand name and this one seems to be compatible, is affordable and no core charge. This P/N came from RockAuto for a 1993 Dakota 5.2L.

Looking at some pics, will this work? One of the reviews is from a guy with a '68 Charger 383 saying he has to "remove the extension so the battery cable would fit".

Name is on the box only, I’d buy one local that away if there are any issues your not paying frieght

You always have to remove the power wire extension. That's for a smallblock.
I usually just go down to part source and grab one. Delco Remys. Come with a 3yr warr. And if you do need warranty, they're right there.
Try asking for a starter for a 67 new Yorker. It will likely be a mini, for the old starter price

I used this one on my 71. No problems at all. get the cable relocation kit.

In all the ones I've put together, never used one of these personally.
