Console Latch

Does anybody know the configuration of the console latch on the '66? I found mine in the bottom of the console this morning and could not figure out how to re-install it or what keeps the chrome button staying in place, it's just loose in the hole.

The latch should have a spring in it that holds the button in place. One of my 66's does the same thing from time to time...

I bet the mounting pins under the console broke off
