The Dealer installed A/C on my Grandmother's 1962 Dodge 880. It had a York compressor.

York Techumseh compressor is what it looks like to me
Agree....it was EITHER a Borg-Warner/York or Tecumseh. They resemble each but are not the same and parts do not interchange. A major difference is the service valves. They were called, I believe a "Roto-Lok" that could be used to access both the suction inlet (low pressure) and the discharge outlet (high pressure connection) by back seating or front seating the appropriate connection without any significant loss of refrigerant. YES.... Ford used them almost exclusively.....they worked well, but it took slightly longer to pump the system down to start the cold air flowing due to a smaller displacement. Just my opinion of course.
