Dad bought this Bee out of Utah in 1989.Restored it to original other than a color change and wheels.Drove it with the numbers 383 until 1995 or so. In 1995 pulled the 383 and dropped in a 426 Hemi. In 2016 pulled the Hemi and sold it.In 2017 Dad gave me the Bee a month before colon cancer took him.I am dropping the numbers 383 back in. But this time adding a few goodies. Headers, Performer RPM intake,780 carb, ready to run distributor,TCI tranny and a stall.

Beautiful Bee! Sorry for your loss. Cancer took my dad & father in law, it's a bitch!

Here is the car in 1991 just before going to the paint and body shop. The car at that time had 180,000 miles. The car is now pushing 300,000.

I'm sorry for your loss, brother. Cancer is a mothertrucker (had it 3 times so far).
I know you'll do the car justice by your father and I know he'll be watching.
Keep us in the loop with progress reports and pics!

Sorry for your loss. Looks great, but that white/red stripe is really nice!

Hey, you can't be stealing my board name! Make him proud and clean it up right ! The story is, unfortunately, too close to home as I lost mine in 1986 to Kidney cancer. Dad bought my Bee new in '69 and I bought it off him in 79 / 80.

Good luck bringing the dream back to life.

Sorry for your loss.
That Bee he gave you will be a nice tribute. Good luck

Wow
Great Story!
Great car!
God Bless your Dad.
Your a Good Son, keep that Car!
Your plans are sound!
Keep us posted.

Here we go as the car has sat the last 25 months. And the numbers 383 getting close to go in. I need to find motor mount brackets.

IT LIVES....got the 383 started tonight. First time the 383 has started up in the Bee engine bay since 1995! Few more things I have to do before I can drive it. But it will be at a local Fathers day cruise next weekend....

Awesome, it's a great feeling to hear them come back to life. Just caught this thread, sorry to hear I'm sure you'll do him proud.

Took it out for a small test drive tonight. First time the car has moved under its own power since Apr,2016 .

I have been to three different car cruises. with the Bee.My Uncle buffed the car for me today. I still have some detail work to do and a few things to fix on the car. Also need a 355 sg to replace the 410 sg.
