Hello,
another question bothering me: which was the shortest (regarding the width) DANA-60 available to a car/truck (NOT restricted to MOPARs only)
I found the info on the net, that there were - regarding the MOPARs - two versions of the Dana60:
a) `66-70, the less wider one, measuring about 54,9" to be found in B-Bodies and
b) `70-71, the wide one, measuring 56,5", to be found in B- and E-Bodies.
Here is - if not already known - a very good info-sheet on the Dana60 (sorry for redirecting to another board):
http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=46240.0
There is a Dana60 listed on the above mentioned sheet with the Bill-of-material/BoM-# 603425-1, to be found on `74 E-Bodies only which has the shortest axle-shaft-dimensions of the ones listed:
BoM Dia.-splines L shaft R shaft
603425 1-1/2"-35 24-7/16" 23-1/16"
Does anybody know how "small"/less wide this 603425-Dana60 is and if there is an even smaller one?
Thank you very much!
