camshaft, valve springs, windage tray and different carb.

Engine code on fender tag.....
925- Carter 4615 avs
926- Carter 4682 avs
897- Carter 4711
899- Holley R4440
First two are orange, stamped HP
Last two are 330hp version, and turquoise.

Exhaust Manifolds are the same if they are 4 barrel engines.

yep, the 330 and 335 motors had the same exhaust manifolds

He is asking the difference between a 69 RR 383HP engine and a 70 Coronet 383

So there are plenty of differences. Exhaust manifolds are both different. Intake, carb, air cleaner, distributor, valve covers. Compression ratio is lower in 1970 so different pistons.

My 70 Challenger had the 330 engine.....but it felt more like a 300 horse power engine. To me the 335 ran more like it was a 350 horse engine.

@moparnorth

Are you asking the internal differences? Or the physical differences you can see on the outside of the engine?

your question is mildly confusing so please ask it again.

According to the original literature the 70 383hp was only optional with a 4 speed in a coronet(unless a superbee) So a 70 coronet automatic 383 should not be stamped hp...at least if the literature is correct. In 69 a roadrunner got the 383hp...except when ordered w ac.

The only performance difference between a 69 and 70 383 HP is a lower compression piston was used in 70. I think the 70 383 hp is suppose to have a holley carb... 69 is a carter avs.

69 RR HP engine had open chamber heads for that year and had taller pistons to keep compression up. Not much difference in height, but it was a difference.
