Different metals for 73 RR Window trim

I find it interesting after doing some restoration work on my 73 RR trim, that the window trim is various metals. For instance, my rear window trim is anodized aluminum, while the front windshield trim is stainless steel, and all of it is magnetic except the two lower corner pieces which are not. Is this normal because the windshield will take more abuse from stuff hitting it?

Sort of the way it is.... I changed my rear window trim to a 71 set which is stainless to match the front.
