Nice car! Love these. A have a friend who has an original paint matador red machine, and there is also a mint original paint red white and blue in area too.
I removed the engine and trans the same way at my buddy's shop about 10 years ago now using the same method. Cliff's young apprentice was impressed with how quick I did the job single-handed using their spare hoist. He told me I did well for an Electrician. If a Carpenter can figure this out....

Just remember your car is gonna be a 3,000 lb door stop while the engine is out unless you also build a dolly for the front end too.I'm going to pick up some steel and build an engine K Frame dolly
I purchased a stand just for that(engine and K frame) from Mancini (I think). Not cheap and there are other ways to make them etc but I don't have the time. Anyway, I have a lift and with this it is super easy to remove the engine, work on it, etc. I will put it all together with front end etc as much as possible before I re-install. I took it our entirely by myself, it is that easy with the appropriate stand, lift etc. I'll try to post pics later....Did a compression check on my 1969 Road Runner engine yesterday. Got 1,3,5,2, 135 psi-4,6, 130 psi, and 7 125 psi, and 8 120 psi.
Readings are in spec and for an engine rebuilt over 40 years ago its held up well. However I wanted to do a few things, Aluminum DB4
intake, TTI headers, newer carb, recam it. So I'm thinking about pulling it and reringing it. Now I have a cherry picker, but I also have a
lift. I was thinking instead of pulling the engine out of the car, pulling the torsion bars, upper control arms, and unbolting the K frame and
lifting the car up. Never done it that way but it seems to be a cleaner way of doing it. I was looking for feedback on folks who have done
the K frame method ?
