Does it matter

My wife likes the car all the time & me most of the time.
I didn't think she cared until it went in for some paint work, then it was "When are you getting the car back"
"What's going on with the Charger"?, etc.
She also likes to cruise in it and enjoys car shows more than I do & always wants to stay/look well after I'm ready to leave.
(Which is after I've made 1 round & seen everything)

My lady friend is a bit of a Motorhead, loves to go fast

My girlfriend is a lot younger than me, is a total gear head, has a 400HP Subaru that she modded herself and autocrosses/street races it. She is cute as hell and loves my Mopars! Guess I'm lucky...

Nobody ever laid in their deathbed and thought..."I wish that I would have worked MORE."
Ever think about scaling back on things? Simpler can be a whole lot better...
All the time, but my job is very demanding being over two shifts. I'm hoping things will improve this year. Been really rough last four years where I work.

My wife of 36+ years has no problem with my many delusions and afflictions.

My current set her alarm for 6:30 am to help wash the car for a show last Saturday. She didn't wake me til 7 and then after we got there she cleaned off the bugs. With all the women in my life there has been the understanding that I will have someone to share my car interests with. They even swap meet with me and ask what to look out for and want to carry stuff. My wife cut and put down all the Hush Mat on the floors, firewall, roof and in the doors of the last car. Never had a girl that has considered not sharing my car interest an option. She has driven the car once and doesn't want to drive it again. I drive her Mustang whenever. It's all in the parameters you set.

Well my wife is cool with it . I've had at one point about 10 project/parts cars on my tiny 1/4 ac lot then add a few d.d. s and one decent classic driver . But she understood I make money buying the cars and taking them apart ,I got the parts I needed and sold the rest basically I got what I needed for free and I only made enough extra to cover the fuel cost and a little for my time stripping the cars as most know when I sell stock it's affordable and usually gone quick . Now swap meets are different I made some bank a few years back . My wife has had two project cars. But she let them go so I could keep one of mine after I got hurt .it works some times I spend money I shouldn't then I need to watch out but othertimes she will see the value and say you better buy it or it will be gone tomorrow!
We both kinda get what we want if funds allow it. I'll sell something off to make her happy she will let me buy something I want we've been together for 13 years now (wow almost half my life with one girl!) But there is times were we will pull guns on each other !! Just kidding we just throw stuff !! We're both Italian! And from n.y. I'm very hot blooded. I can control myself to a point after that point god help who ever pushed the button! Same with the wife were a match made in hell!

Well I wasn't going to say anything till later but now seems good enough! We get along so good she is now pregnant!!! And there will be a new future mopar guy/girl/both? Soon so I'll get into more detail s when we get a bit further but she agreed we can bring the baby home in my 64 Chrysler 300 K conv ! So I'm thrilled about that!

My wife of over 30 years has no issue with me messing with cars unless it gets out of hand (read: if she gets booted out of her garage spot - then she gets pissed).
AMEN brother!

Having said that, she really has no interest in having her own muscle car/old car whatever. She wants new and comfortable for herself...

Same here. She has little interest in going to car shows, but loves to watch the Road Runner glisten in the sunlight and hear it rumble as I back it out to leave for a show.

No wife, no kids, no problems...
My brother is what I think is called a confirmed bachelor. Never married. He puts his car parts or whatever on the kitchen table and no ones tells him to "get them off there". Does what he wants. He came over to my house one day. Wife came out and started fervently jabbering about something I did or didn't do. Bro listened for a few seconds and said, "I'm gone". And drove off.
