Exhaust Tips

Just removed a fuel cell from my 67 coronet trunk and reinstalled an original fuel tank and plumbing. I then installed the correct tail pipes along the tank. My exhaust outlets are about 5 or 6 inches below my bumper. Is this normal?

Can you tell me what is? I can't raise the pipes higher as they will hit the tank

Thanx,I see your pipes rise after the tank then curve down. My pipes are straight through

These are NOS tailpipes. They look just like @dadsbee tailpipes to me.

Oh,thank you. I was sold mine as being oem correct. I guess not. To get mine to tuck up under the bumper I found a ford tail pipe extension that looks like it will curve up enough to accomplish that. Thanx everyone for the pics, and comments. Most appreciated.
