I responded to Newbomb Turk and stated that his words were brutal and abrasive but I agreed with them. He is a very knowledgeable guy that isn’t one to soften the blow when he states his opinion. Therein lies the rub…if you are a bit smoother with your presentation, you can get your point across even if it is hard for others to accept. I am not always that skilled at maintaining composure and decorum when posting an opposing viewpoint either.I wish I would’ve seen this thread yesterday. I posted some info I found on a thread about LA engine oil galley plugs that Kern Dog started and I also need info on. What I got was a “brutal and abrasive” response. I guess that’s normal for FABO. So I am just going to stick with the mellow guys!!! Thanks everyone on FBBO for us older guys don’t need the angry drama!!
My opinion on the differences between the forums may be wrong but here goes…
The A bodies were the economical cars, the cheapest of the Mopars you could buy. In general, they still are. It is possible that the A body guys feel like many B and E body guys view them as less than whether they do or do not. This may put some A body guys on edge with an inferiority complex that may or may not be justified. If this is true, it makes one defensive and combative when dealing with others, even their own guys. Arguments over there start from the simplest of things.
My topic about oil gallery plugs resulted in one member calling me a retard because I didn’t see it the same and agree with him.
There are some great members there but some jerks too. The site traffic seems to be about 1/3 more than here which may be representative of how many more A bodies were built and still survive today.
I’ve had 33 A bodies but just three B bodies. I love the Duster and 67-69 Dart body styles but the 68-70 Chargers and other B bodies are just so much cooler in my opinion.
