Factory Appearing Stock Tire (F.A.S.T.) or Pure Stock Racers

I do wish there was more coverage of the races on YouTube.
Other than the guy that does Cars & Zebras that shows some shootouts from the F.A.S.T. races I haven't seen anything recent.
Since they don't run any of the F.A.S.T. races up here in my neck of the woods (Southern Ontario) it would be nice to see more of it on You Tube.

Pure stock is my go to, fast you can do a lot more as long as it’s hidden..
They both are neat classes but I will say pure stock is more authentic imo.

It is a great class with really good people and lots of fun! I have one for each class.

That pretty good time for the Savoy what’s your target time?

We were first time participants this year and last year we went just to spectate. To me what was so neat about the Pure Stock Event was everyone was willing to help anyone that may have had a problem. Everyone is there to achieve the same goal of a new personal best. When they etched my car in and knew I was a newbie they asked my goal for the weekend. I told them to run a 13.80. They started laughing at me and said seriously good luck a lot of people have come to this for a long time and have never ran a 13 or ran over 100 mph. I have several friends that have raced at this event for years and I consider them my mentors/crew chiefs and I set my car up as they recommended. We were the sixth pair down the track and I thought it was great my first pass in the Super Bee was against Mike one of my crew chiefs, if not the main guy, in his A12 Road Runner. He treed me and ran a 12.74 I think to my 13.30@103mph. We qualified at a 13.24 and were paired up against a car that qualified 13.21. I won the first of the shoot out, lost the second 13.24 to a 13.27 and then I lost the third because I finally figured out how to really launch the car and went 12.74@108 to the other car running a 13.08. I had a blast and can't wait to do it again.
