Fire ant killer that works!

Besides Hornets there are actually very few things around here plant/animal/insect that will try and kill you.
It's hard to beat this part of the country this time of year.
(Although the last 7 months kinda sucked)

Come to New Zealand.....where the wildlife will never try and kill you.... but your mother's boyfriend might...especially if you're a toddler.

The worst an animal will do here - pig will charge if you try and kill or corner it, and maybe you might get bitten by an angry horse...... no snakes or alligators.

No, I wouldn't get within a stone's throw of that equine monstrosity.

The Ortho in the original post must be some nasty stuff. Was checking on where to buy it because we do have a few fire ant hills on the property. Amazon says they can't deliver to our address, same with Walmart. Our local stores don't stock it either.

Do you have a 'tractor supply co.' store local, or nearby anyway
maybe go/try there, I doubt they'd deliver either, but may have something

I just bought a couple of 4# bags of Ortho dry fire ant killer.
It has 99% ingredients that are just a carrier for the 1% that actually kills.
One BIG difference is the stuff I got has to be watered in, where the product introduced in this thread doesn't if I read it correctly.

I have been in the concert business. In Florida many of the concerts are outdoors, were we have a seated audience on the grass in a public or similar park setting.
I always got a kick of it when the city workers showed up the day before the concert and diligently walked the audience area spreading/applying the prerequisite ant killer, to protect the audience/public.
Since I and the crew were chanced with being exposed to this agent, one day I approached the worker and asked to read the label of what he was spreading. It clearly noted it killed the hive and queen within 2 weeks.
