71bird is back in action. I stripped all the wiring out of the engine bay and i picked up some of the correct harness wrap off of ebay and did a one for one unwrap inspect/repair and rewrap it so it looks just like it was made. On this project I have found that there is not to many parts that are actually scrap almost all of these old mopar parts can be restored with a little patience. I went to MATS and looked at alot of the after market stuff and my originals are way higher quality so im gonna restore them. It is tempting to buy some of the cheaper resto parts but it would be a travisty to replace american made quality parts that need paint or polish or minor repair, with replacement parts from china.

well so far so good keep on posting updates as you go thanks for sharing :headbang:

media blasting engine parts this weekend I'll try to get some more pics of all my progress. and I bought a bench mounted buffer for all my stainless trim. the more I dig into this car the better appreciation I have for the cars of that era way better built than our plastic snap on auto's today.

well for anybody reading this what do you think about my 438 stroked 383 with a comp cam 525 and 10.5 comp with a edlebrok performer rpm intake, stealth aluminum heads and a 770 holley avenger, stock exhaust manifolds or headers, How much will I loose from the stock exhaust manifold. has anyone had a mildly modded motor with a stock exhaust manifolds. manifold back exhaust will most likely be 2.5 or 3" h pipe with flowmaster 40's. I really would like to pop the hood and it look stock but have some real get up and go to it.
