I agree with this for sure. My experience with BR is when they are bad the car wont even fire.if it runs for any period of time after the key is released from the “start” position, it’s not the ballast.
When the ballast is bad, it will only run while cranking.
well that would certainly do it!!Just an update. I just got back from my mini vacation came home and went right back at it. A friend of mine bought a smoke machine and hooked that up. It looked as though there were a lot of leaks coming from the carburetor, even though I've never had a problem with it before. I bought a new carb and stuck it on there and it worked! I drove it for the first time today! Still needs some fine tuning though. It died on me twice at a stop sign, and it bogged down on me a couple times, but it runs and drives. What a journey this has been!
