Anyone running the Progression Ignition AND TrickFlow 270s?
I'm concerned about the distributor clearing fabbed commercial valve covers.

If so, pix please!
Anyone running TF240s and the Progression Ignition I'd like to hear from you too.

I am not running TrickFlow heads, I have Edelbrock heads, but I do know that they make an extended MSD distributor for clearance. I will find it and post the link.
PS I am jealous, I want TrickFlows. LOL

I read that they are a bit taller than the MSD.

"They're available in standard and small diameter models for applications with limited clearance"
This might be your answer.
The problem I have seen is all of these seem to be based on the GM style cap. Even the "smaller diameter" models have a smaller cap where the wires connect, but the base is the same size! So this doesn't help.

So I do not have Progressive Ignition and Trickflow 270's, but think I have something similar: I have Edelbrock RPM heads and FAST ignition (computer controls timing). I had clearance issues with my heads so I clearanced them. Really not too hard. See here: https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/hawk-rod-the-tune-up.183169/page-3#post-911491445

Good luck!

I'm not sure if this helps Bio....but these are 240s and they do come with a nice clearance area for the distributor. I believe the 270s do as well.
That said, I have no idea about where/how the one you're talking about might cause issues...

EXCELLENT! Not entirely what I was looking for, but an excellent contribution.
I certainly hope that by the time I get my setup I'm not the first to have the "killer combo" (IMO) of Progression Ignition and TF270s!
Also, I had NO IDEA that TF pre-clearanced that cylinder head. I would hope that the thickness of that area is something that TF can clearly convey to a customer.

PROGRESSION IGNITION UPDATE!
Ted at Progression is emailing lots of people today:
The Chrysler NEW SMALLER DIAMETER distributor housing units are available!!
He said he has changed all the associated pictures on their website.
This should eliminate the occasional fitment issues some had with aftermarket heads and/or fabricated valve covers.
