I have a 30 year old Craftsman that still work well but when lowering it is like the demon drop. No slow way to do it when lowering a car. For safety reasons, I bought a newer Craftsman about 10 years ago when they had their "get a jack, creeper & pair of stands" for $99.00. I can never have enough stands. I have 12 and they all get used. This one still work well also. 4 years or so I have to go buy a cheapie HF low profile aluminum jack so it would for under my newer 2012 Challenger. So far no problems with that one (yet).
