I need help with the floor pan fitment on my 64. I have it in place and it fits very well everywhere except for where the tunnel meets the rear floor pan. I have tech screws in there put still can not get it to align very well. The gap is anywhere between 1/4 & 3/8.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A friend, a hammer, and a dolly. That's what I would do.

Easiest way as said above. Have a buddy with a dolly under the car in the tunnel and hammer the seam line together. I might be available this Tuesday to drive up and lend a hand.

And from the factory, was it just a few spot welds? I seem to remember mine having body sealer on the gap.

I think you guys might have an easier time doing it the other way. It'll be much easier to stretch a concave panel from underneath than trying to shrink a convex panel. That panel is also much more solid and your hammering will be much more productive. You can probably accomplish 90% of it from underneath without the dolly, then use the dolly at the end to bring them together.

Yes, just spot welds and seam sealer

Thanks Guys ... I appreciate the advise and suggestions.

Mark ... I appreciate your offer to drive up but please stay safe down in Yuma ... I'm going to take all of the advise above and get creative.

There are a few spot welds and originally it as covered with seam sealer which I can use to hide most of my ugly welding.
